Meet the Electric Wheels of CO Team

Electric Wheels CO is owned and operated by the Logan family. They started as a franchisee of Voltaire Cycles in February 2020 (what timing!) but moved to an independent electric bike shop in 2021. Electric Wheels’ mission is more miles, more smiles. The Logans' hope is that Electric Wheels brings customers a new experience, a new way to enjoy life, and a new way to be grateful for the opportunities to get out and move, breathe fresh air, and smile!

We wouldn’t be where we are today without our amazing team. We want to introduce ourselves before you come to visit us. We are located at 9579 S University Blvd Unit 170 in Village Center Highlands Ranch. Schedule an appointment to come see us!

Todd - Owner

Todd Logan got into the business after being an avid rider for decades. His family rented electric mountain bikes in the mountains, and his youngest child was able to get up over the hills with ease. He then started researching commuting options for his wife, Lori, which led him to consider opening up a bike shop. eBikes were a new trend and were doing a lot for the bike industry in general so he decided to open an electric bike shop. Watching his kids learn how to run a business and provide customer service is rewarding as well as seeing the smiles on people that didn’t think they’d ever get on a bike.

His favorite part of Electric Wheels is that it’s not about selling you a bike but an experience. He likes to ensure people know what they’re buying. Education is important to make the best decision for THEM.

When Todd isn’t in the shop, he’s biking (of course), skiing, and spending time outdoors with his two dogs (Norwich terriers named Rocky and Archie) and two kids, Jackson and Lizzy.

Christi - Lead Sales

Christi is the first face you’re likely to see when you come to our shop! Eight years ago, after a career in psychiatric social work and real estate, Christi was looking for a fun and outdoorsy job and was introduced to eBikes. At that time, eBikes were very new, so she was excited to be in a ground floor industry that was growing.

Christi enjoys working at Electric Wheels because it is a fun, family-owned business that focuses on customer satisfaction. She says, “It’s rewarding to educate customers about eBikes and how to ride them as a way to stay fit as they grow older. Helping customers be comfortable on the bike with an emphasis on safety is very important to me. Sometimes, I even have to teach someone how to ride!”

In her free time, Christi loves reading and learning about the health, safety, care, breeding, and training of wild and domestic animals. She also enjoys cycling, swimming, hiking, and skiing.

Jackson - Bicycle Mechanic

Jackson and his father, Todd Logan, were first introduced to eBikes in Winter Park, CO as rentals. Todd enjoyed their time with them so much that he purchased Jackson and himself two of those rental bikes. They pursued this industry and eventually opened the bike shop Electric Wheels of Colorado.

Jackson comments, “I enjoy applying myself to my work and being able to serve those in my community. It makes me happy that I can make someone's day by helping them continue doing something they enjoy.” In his free time, Jackson enjoys spending time with loved ones, fitness, skiing, cycling, and board games.

Dillon - Bicycle Mechanic

Dillon grew up in Lincoln, NE, and worked for a locally owned Ace Hardware there. At the very beginning of 2020, they opened an eBike shop named Speedy Pete’s in a retail unit of a new Ace store. He instantly loved it and switched to the bike shop full time. In November of 2021, Dillon moved to Parker, CO so he could pursue further education and career goals in Aviation. Upon arriving, a quick google search allowed him to find Electric Wheels, and the rest is history!

Dillon enjoys tinkering with electric bikes to make them ride more smoothly for customers. It is rewarding to him to tackle problems on bikes that he works on at the shop. He mentions, “It is rewarding to tackle problems on bikes that I work on at the shop. It brings me joy to see people’s faces light up when I can make their bike function and look like new!” He also enjoys collaborating with coworkers to solve problems.

He appreciates and restores vintage cars with his grandfather. Currently, he is restoring a 1931 Ford Model A. He also builds and maintains computers for his family. A fun fact about Dillon is that he plays the Tenor Sax for the Mile High Freedom Band in Denver! He also enjoys hiking, cycling, and skiing.

John - Mechanic & Shop Supervisor

John was a mechanic for the military. When he became a civilian, he wanted to find something hands-on in mechanics or doing something similar to what he did in the military. When he came across the job posting for Electric Wheels as a bicycle mechanic, he just had to apply.

John enjoys working at Electric Wheels because it’s like a big family. He says, “We can laugh, talk, joke around and just be comfortable with one another. I love getting to meet new people and educating them on the bicycles we have and seeing their joy when they purchase a new bike that I know they’ll love.” He loves the company culture and customers of Electric Wheels. John enjoys building and fixing bicycles that customers bring in. It’s special to him to have the opportunity to learn about people through their bikes and the stories that go with them.

In his spare time, John loves spending time outdoors going to the beach, biking, walking and going to the mountains. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife and kids.

Lizzy - Shop Assistant

Lizzy has been involved in the evolution of the Electric Wheels of CO shop since its first thought, starting with renting an eMTB in Winter Park where she killed 15 single track miles on her first trip! Since the start of Electric Wheels, she’s helped with inventory, displays, helping customers, and also the technical details of supporting the mechanics. She is in high school and loves all things around art and design as well as history. Lizzy enjoys working at Electric Wheels for the camaraderie and fun times at the shop, especially birthday parties.
